Its Not Just About Hearing People Speak

Hearing Connects You With The World Around You
I think we all sometimes forget to appreciate what our hearing gives us. Yes, our hearing enables us to hold conversations, listen to the television, and hear the fire alarm. But, have you considered the other wonderful things that your hearing gives you?
I recently had a customer come in for a hearing test – he did not initially realise he had any hearing problems, but we were able to identify his particular difficulties and offer a range of personalised options that would improve his hearing.
During his routine follow up, he said how delighted he was with his new hearing aids, and the difference they have made to his life – as you would expect, he was now able to speak with his family on the phone, and enjoy the conversations more than he has for a long time. Strikingly though, he also said he could now hear the whistle from the Watercress Locomotive – a sound that made him realise how isolated he had become with his hearing loss.
Your hearing is not just a means to communicate, but also a sense that enables you to keep in touch with the world. It lets you hear the morning bird song, the sound of the rain, a baby’s laughter. It lets you stay connected with life and appreciate the smaller things we sometimes take for granted.
Are you struggling to hear sounds that were once important to you? Please give us a call, and we would be happy to help.
